Suckiest subject for Humanities
I still couldn't believe that I've to memorise 7 whole chapters of SS for monday's paper. Even if I studied 7 chapters, there is no guarantee that one of those will come out as SEQ question, since our dear local setters can mix and match some other chapters as well. Couldn't our education system just re-evaluate on such subject's mode of assessment? This is total crap i tell you. You just memorise without understanding (for there is nothing much for you to understand) by hard, and then vomit everything out on the spot then finally afterwhich, you couldn't rmb anything regarding Knowledge-Based Economy and stuff. This is practical?Whats more is that I just simply couldn't stand reading up on the chapter of Good Governance (not that I have a choice, since this is a 'hot' chapter - see, what is the point of this kind of education?). The entire chapter is constantly full of praises for our government. Yes, I do agree that our government is good, but that extent is simply too much. This totally sucks and I couldn't stand it.
It is not like you don't study SS and you'll not grow up understanding your country or become some irresponsible citizens.
In conclusion, of the whole family of humanities, this is the most pointless one.
Enough of grumbling for me, life still goes on and I have to accept the fact that the paper is in one plus day's time. At least this is the last time i'm gonna touch this book of Social Studies. And this SS paper better not pull down my grade for combined humanities.
